Wood harnesses the power of abstraction and figuration to craft contemporary pieces that intrigue and captivate. His works are deeply influenced by the historic movements of Cubism and Abstract Expressionism. Wood developed a unique form language comprised of 18 stylized shapes, derived from pedestrians' shadows. This lexicon, which he refers to as Biomorphagrams, functions much like the 12 notes of the musical scale, offering a boundless avenue for creative expression. Instead of traditional paint, Wood works with vintage Chroma Rama paper and dead stock paint swatches. These materials hold a certain nostalgia and rarity, adding depth to his compositions.
